The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ali Alizada had a meeting with Pakistan Federal Minister of Commerce, Khurram Dastgir Khan.
The successful visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, which was organized last month, was mentioned in the meeting. Furthermore, the two sides underlined the opportunities created by high-level relations existing between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, and the positive role of cordial and friendly relations between the leadership of two countries.
Ambassador Ali Alizada stressed the significant role of the relevant state bodies of the two countries in the progress of mutual economic and trade relations. The Diplomat informed the Minister on socio-economic development in Azerbaijan, favorable conditions established for businessmen and foreign investors, as well as, on transportation corridors, industrial estates, investment parks and added that the acquaintance of the Minister with these same opportunities will have positive impact on the specification of new means for the relations.
Pakistan Federal Minister of Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan said that Azerbaijan's socio-economic development aroused great interest and underlined great potential for the improvement of bilateral trade and economic relations. Mr. Khan noted that he will visit Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan in near future.
The sides also exchanged views on the legal-framework and other issues of mutual interest.
