The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Ali Alizada had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif
Ambassador conveyed the greetings of and the invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif and said that Pakistan is a brotherly and friendly country for Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan attaches great importance to bilateral relations with Pakistan. Ambassador Ali Alizada stressed out high-level relations between the two countries, implementation of new projects, the mutual support that two countries provide each other with in regional and international issues, and noted that cooperation opportunities between the two countries has been expanded and reached new heights. Talking about the First Trilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Turkey which will be held in Baku by the initiative of Azerbaijan, he underlined the Meeting’s contribution to trilateral cooperation and said that all three countries enjoy strategic partnership relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif requested to convey his greetings to his Azerbaijani counterpart and said that he’s planning to visit Azerbaijan. He underscored high-level relations which exist between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, the importance of mutual support between the two countries and emphasized that Pakistan sees Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is the result of the aggressive policy of Armenia, as its own issue.
