We are ready to accept Azerbaijani students who want to study in Pakistan.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ali Alizada, had a meeting with the State Minister of Federal Education and Professional Tranining, Internal Affairs and Narcotics control of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman.

         The Ambassador gave information to the Minister on the reforms that are being implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of education and said that the citizens of the brotherly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who study in Azerbijan do have good conditions and modern infrastructure and their number is increasing year by year. He added that there are great opportunities to improve relations in the field of higher education and the work on updating and developing the current legal base in this field is about to be completed. Ali Alizada noted that there are also favorable facilities for Azerbaijani students to study in Pakistani universities and the activities are going on in this direction, and the Embassy is ready to assist to the students from both countries.

          Reminding his visits to Baku, cordial meetings he held, and social and economic development he witnessed in Azerbaijan, Minister Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman emphasized that Pakistan and Azerbaijan are two brotherly nations that are strongly tied to each other. He underlined good relationship with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and other relevant state bodies and also talked about the development taking place in Pakistan in different areas. Moreover, Minister noted that they are ready to receive Azerbaijanis who want to get higher education in Pakistan. Mr. Baligh Ur Rehman spoke about the importance of improving relations among universities and of more engagement in student exchange programs and noted that the projects which aim to improve the legal base amongst relevant agencies of two countries are to be finished by Pakistani side: “Once this job is done, it will have positive implications on bilateral relations”.    

         In the meeting, satisfaction was expressed in regard with constant support that Azerbaijan and Pakistan provide each other. The special role of the leaders of two countries in the improvement of Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, as well as, the activities of H.Aliyev Foundation of Azerbaijan were underlined. Construction of school in Muzaffarabad on the initiative and support of the First lady of Azerbaijan and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Ms. Mehriban Aliyeva, the projects implemented in different regions of Pakistan, including humanitarian and social projects in educational entities that contribute to the flourishing of brotherly relationship between our peoples were emphasized.
