Embassy of Azerbaijan to Pakistan has participated in “Novruz Festival 2018: Connectivity for Regional Prosperity”

Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua, secretaries and high level officials of the Ministry, ambassadors of foreign countries to Pakistan, diplomats, and public and media representatives took part in the event organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the occasion of Novruz Festival. Embassies of the countries celebrating Novruz displayed at the exhibition various materials promoting their culture, traditions, national cuisine, and political and historical development, as well as economic progress. 

Speaking at the event, dignitaries delivered that Novruz, being an ancient festival of Asia, which embodies the senses of solidarity, mercy and compassion among the people has played very important role in establishing peace, kindness and mutual assistance between the peoples of the region. They expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the occasion and to the participating countries.   

After the speeches, Foreign Minister of Pakistan and other guests viewed the exhibition pavilions of the countries celebrating Novruz. Out of delicious examples of Azerbaijani cuisine; buns, shakarburas, pakhlavas, qutabs, dolma, and other meals, as well as national souvenirs reflecting history and culture of Azerbaijan, the books on the formation and celebration styles of Novruz as a national festival of Azerbaijani nation, at the same time, the books, photos and souvenirs demonstrating political and economic progress and cultural richness of Azerbaijan attracted great interest of participants.
